True IDC has once again proven its expertise in AWS Cloud Migration by securing the 1st place championship at the AWS Migration Hackathon, held on February 7, 2025. This competition was organized to enable AWS Partners to showcase their Migration Strategy capabilities for AWS Thailand Region, ensuring seamless customer transitions to the new region. Additionally, it provided an opportunity for partners to practice using third-party migration tools like RiverMeadow, which plays a crucial role in migrating workloads to AWS, especially as AWS has yet to introduce dedicated Migration Tools for the Thailand Region.

Overcoming Challenges, Showcasing All-Round Expertise

The AWS Migration Hackathon featured nine competing teams from AWS partners in Thailand, with a competition framework designed to test comprehensive migration skills across three key missions:

1. Configuration & Migration – Setting up RiverMeadow Tools to migrate systems from on-premise to AWS Cloud under a real-world customer simulation.

2. Problem Solving – Identifying and resolving hidden AWS issues within the system, such as network errors, server agent failures, and connectivity challenges, to ensure a successful migration.

3. Presentation to AWS – Delivering a 10-12 minute presentation covering Migration Strategy, TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), key drivers, challenges, timeline, and a live demo.
